Interfaculty Image and Sound - exists since 1990. In that year the Royal Conservatory of Music and Dance merged with the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. The interfaculty offers a 4 year Image and Sound degree program, which is aimed at students who feel attracted towards interdisciplinary artistic activity, working with various artistic disciplines, the application of different technologies, connecting and integrating the aural and visual media by way of developing new media forms (combinations of film, video, computers, etc.), spatial installations, and new ways of presenting art.

Sonic Acts Festival Amsterdam - yearly two-day festival as a platform and temporary laboratory for young interdisciplinary artists. Sonic Acts stages and presents their work and artistic experiments in a professional venue for a mixed audience consisting of specifically interested art-lovers as well as a general public for dance and pop music.

International Film Festival Rotterdam - is a festival that reflects on the way in which cinema is now, but also as it may come to be. By exploring the fast-changing context and nature of cinema. By adopting initiatives that respond to the ever-changing needs of cinema and filmmakers.

CAiiA-STAR- is a research platform that integrates two centres of doctoral research: CAiiA, the Centre for Advanced Inquiry in the Interactive Arts, at the University of Wales College, Newport, and STAR, the centre for Science, Technology and Art Research, in the School of Computing, University of Plymouth. CAiiA was established in 1994 as an outcome of the success of the country's first Interactive Arts degree. STAR was formed in 1997, building on the School of Computing's research achievements in the domain of Interactive Multimedia and the associated fields of Artificial Life, Robotics and Cognitive Science. Together CAiiA+STAR provide a powerful base for research in the new field of practice,theory and application which is emerging from the creative convergence of art, science, technology and consciousness.

British Film Institute - their mission is to develop greater understanding and appreciation of film, television and the moving image. Also home of the Museum of Moving Image (MOMI), currently closed for redevelopment.

Transmediale - is a platform for artistic and critical reflection on the role of digital technologies in present-day society. The festival provides a forum for communication between artists, those working in the media and a wide range of experts and offers a stimulating environment for the presentation of major new digital culture projects.
